COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This advanced science course is designed to introduce students to the fundamental structures of the human body and their associated structures.

Lectures, laboratory activities, group presentations, dissections, and field trips are used to emphasize the related scientific concepts regarding the various systems of the human body.

This course meets the California State University and University of California laboratory requirement for Life Science.

 
 

 

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

1. Better understand the complementary nature of anatomical structures and their functions.

2. Introduce students to a variety of health-related occupations.

3. Encourage wise choices concerning a healthy lifestyle.

4. Increase critical thinking skills.

5. Expand communication skills.
